Welcome guys !!! (When I say guys, consider it as a figure of speech. I am equally happy to welcome the female readers). Just want to thank you all for your time and effort (For quickly reading posts before your boss catches you). Whenever I read a comment, I feel grateful because you could have spent that moment scratching yourself or conspiring against your boss/colleagues/mother-in-law but you invested it in something even crazier - talking to me. Those of you who read but never leave a comment/reaction, please start it because I get paid based on number of comments/reactions I get. hehe... kidding. Just that your feedback is important to me! And don't worry, I have no underworld contacts, so you can feel free to say not-so-good things! Happy reading and Always Keep Smiling! (kya pata kal daat ho na ho)!!!

Are you a Chessifist?

Has it ever happened to you that all of your life you had a particular belief and one fine day you realise that you were wrong all the while??? It happened to me. You can call me tube light, but all my life I used to think I am a Pacifist! Recently, it occurred to me that I was so wrong! I mean partially wrong! Reason? Well, I play  the GREAT (Bloodless) WAR GAME - Chess!

Any person who is attacking and capturing opponent's ARMY ('Pieces' when its Chess) to capture King, is definitely not a Pacifist! And I have been playing Chess since my school days! Its frequency did get reduced after School when a great tragedy befell upon me. Joking! Actually I started going to College... hehe... (Now you know why Vishwanathan Anand has represented India at global level for so long) Post college days I resumed it and played it on and off (with hell lot of breaks). But, the fact is, whenever I play the game I feel the adrenaline rush. After all Chess is a game to control your mind and emotions . If you are losing , then you get worried and lose. On the other hand , if you are wining , you get excited and you lose.

Ignoring Chess violence, I have been quiet a friendly and non violent person. (Yes, there were few occasions wherein I was unfortunate enough to come across people whom anyone would wanna bury 20,000 leagues under the sea, that too Alive!!!! But, I managed to survive!) However, After this Happy (or should i say Not-so-Happy...umm... perhaps Happy is better... oh whatever) realisation, I decided to call myself a Chessifist!

Accordingly Switler Dictionary-cum-Encyclopedia (The only copy of which is not yet published) a Chessifist is a combination of words 'Chess' and 'Pacifist', representing a Pacifist, who becomes nonbeliever in peace (can even indulge in fist fight also) only while playing Chess! That's why someone once said “Chess is ruthless: you've got to be prepared to kill people.
