When I read about CST Flash MOB, my first reaction was "Oh No, I missed it". Those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, last Sunday (27 Nov) we had our very first Flash Mob in Mumbai at CST Station. A Flash Mob is a group of people who assemble in a public place and start performing some action, usually a dance for entertainment purpose. I have seen it on American TV Series and on You tube videos and found it pretty interesting concept. That's why I felt really bad to have missed it.
The one performed at CST was non-commercial And I m sure, it cheered up everyone at the station. And that got me thinking, how we need more of such flash mobs. Here are 3 places where I feel we need to have Flash Mobs.
Parliament of India: Imagine a parliament session is going on. (Whichever house it is, doesn't matter) And there is heated argument over something trivial (well, I have never seen heated argument over important issues) and our respected MPs start throwing chairs or mics or whatever they can lay their hands on. Enter a flash mobs into the picture, entire thing will change. Wont it? Who knows those politicians might even join the dance and at least it would calm them. And that means least damage to national property.
At multiplexes: Well, at all multiplexes we need this, especially when they are showing a so-much-hyped-about-but- super flop movie. These dancers will be amongst the theater goers and once they are out feeling why did they even leave house to watch that movie, there we have this flash mob. To cheer them up with a superb dance number. Well definitely helpful to lift spirit of a highly disappointed movie goer.
Cricket Stadium: I am a cricket fan and so with due respect to our Cricket team, I feel lot of times players are not in form. Imagine a match is going on, players are playing extremely poorly and we are sure we are gonna loose, these Flash Mob can perform on songs like 'Chak De India'. Perhaps, that will bring lot of form and enthusiasm in our players and we may win the match. Just a thought, but definitely worth a shot. What say?
